So, im usually not that shy. But im going to this party tonight where i only know one person (the one that invited me) All the other people go to a different school than me. %26amp;%26amp; i cant stay with my guy friend the whole time, and i don't want to embarrass him by being shy.. SO how can i make a great impression on him and everyone else there?Shyness advice Help? 10 Pts best answer.?
If you can catch the person who invited you ask him about some of the other people's interests in the group. Stand-fast on knowing their interest and wove them in with yours. Impressing people is more than appearance, it's about your mind and how attentive you are with others you meet. I mentioned this because you need to feel comfortable and having a few trump cards to play when it gets tight. Don't try to get involved in a conversation that you are unsure about.


Feel free to offer your opinion on issues you are familiar with, but not to the point of arguing.


Compliment the host or hostess on throwing a good party.


Don't drink or smoke too much, but try to relax and be yourself.
Don't worry so much, if your friend thought you would embarrass him in any way he wouldn't have invited you. And from you pics, you would make any guy feel good to have you close to him for the night. If you are usually not shy, no reason for this to be much different of a situation. Enjoy yourself.
I know this might be hard, but go walk up randomly to someone you don't know and compliment them. Since they don't know you, they can't judge you! Plus, you'l probably be able to hang with them at the party.


If you see a hot guy, ask him if he has a brother named James. He probably won't, so you can get the conversation started! If he does, well, I guess you could ask for the last name and be like '; Oh, well I was thiking of James ( fake last name). It's an old trick but it works!
