Need some advice about adobe photoshop? ...Best answer WILL receive 10 pts!! :-)?

..I'm going to buy Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 for Windows.. my question is.. which file types does it support? I've never owned Adobe products before.. this'll be my first. Does it support .jpegs? Or will it turn my files into .pds or .pdf's?? If so, how do I convert them back to .jpegs? Will it open a .jpeg? All my photographs and drawings are .jpegs.

It will work with JPGs just fine. If you add layers and want to be able to go back and modify them, you'll need to save it as a PSD, but you can always save it as a JPG too.Need some advice about adobe photoshop? ...Best answer WILL receive 10 pts!! :-)?
Photoshop supports most common file types, you may need to go to Edit%26gt;Preferences and Check all to access them.Once that is checked you should have no problems with most files. When you have finished working on a file you can Save As in the drop down File menu and choose whichever file you need.I save as TIFFs,psds or pdfs and convert to jpegs as needed.RAW files cannot be written but can be saved and processed.Adobe update their file types regularly when new cameras come out with odd RAW forms.Adobe have a reputation as the main market player.
i have adobe Photoshop Elements 6 and Photoshop cs3, they both support .jpegs and many other files. You can change the file type when you go to file%26gt;save as, then you choose what type.

It can open all image files.

If you want to convert jpeg to something else you just choose Save As, and the same if you need PSD to jpeg, gif, bmp or whatever format you'll need..
Yes, regarding all your jpeg questions, plus many more formats like bmp, tif, gif and others.

Just do a ';save as'; to view all the format options.
