Digital Camera Advice: which is the best model for a beginner?

I have the option of two cameras that are within my meager budget. The first is the Olympus E-500 and the second is the Cannon Digital Rebel 300D (each one will come with a nice lens, etc). I am a beginner but I plan to take full advantage of the camera's features and I will also be taking lessons soon. I don't need the mega-top-of-line camera, but I do need something that will allow me to manipulate and play around with exposure, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc to help me in the learning process. Which would be a better camera for a newbie who wants to learn?Digital Camera Advice: which is the best model for a beginner?
Are you sure you are able to find 1st hand of the models that you've mentioned. They are quite old cameras to me.

If you are going for 2nd hands, I would say get a more recent models since the price difference is not going to be too much.Digital Camera Advice: which is the best model for a beginner?
You should seriously look in to the Nikon D80, its a 10.2 Mp CCD sensor and the price of it dropped by 30%. Because of its CCD sensor and since the D90 sensor is the same physical size as the D80 a CCD system would give much better pictures even in difficult situations (high ISO, shadow etc.).

If you are looking for a CMOS sensor, I recommend not to go with Nikon just yet , the Canon 20D 30D 40D 50D Rebel XSi have a bigger sensor that reduce noise at higher ISO, it is also USER Friendly and less expensive.

Check out these picture with Canon 20D By this very talented lady.

The lenses quality of Canon is as high as Nikon's and some pros think they are even better. But as a beginner you can't go wrong with Nikon D80 CCD sensor.

You can get either of these cameras 2nd hand for not more then $400 or even less.

I like this girl who is my best freind and ive liked her for awhile and ive turned down alot of good lookin girls for her, only like two people know about it, and im pretty sure she dosent know either, but she just broke up wit someone but she likes another guy, and shes dated this guy before, but my freinds tell me to give up becuase she dosent like me, she sees me as a freind, but when its just the two of us we flirt constantly i feel like were going out and she even told me she would go out wit me but that was before her ex, and ive already gone out with her once before but she broke up with me becuase she thought i like another girl but that was last year but were such good freinds but i really like her at the same time were constantly hanging out tooo, what shoul i doGirls i need some advice......i like my best freind....?
talk to her, ask her yourself, don't believe what other people say until she says it directly to you! talk to her, be friends, ask her out. take it from there. if you guys flirt, then it means she's into you too. ~good luck!~Girls i need some advice......i like my best freind....?

GO OUT WIT HER!!! if everything you say is true then she TOTALLY DIGS YOU! are you kidding me!! just walk up to her, and be like ';i really like you, and nobody else, and i want to be with you. i want to be more then friends.'; and tell alaska to keep his mouth quite, he doesn't know anything bout this kinda stuff!

I lied to my best friend? Need some Major advice?

Well, without sounding like a smart***, the first advice is don't lie. It never makes it better and in fact usually makes it alot worse. When you lie, those who were lied to, usually find out the truth anyway. Then not only do you have to deal with the truth, but also the fact that you lied about it. Nobody likes to be lied to, ever!

So, how can you fix it. Well obviously, the truth is not something you want to tell her. So, its bad news. What you don't want is for her to hear it from anyone else but you. This is very important. Catch it early, talk to her in person!! Yes it sounds like a much harder way of confronting her, but its actually easier for you! Sure its hard to look the other person in the eye, but in turn they are much more likely to really listen to everything you have to say and people tend to handle the news better when your standing right there than when your on the phone and they can just hang up.

So, start off by bringing the subject around to whatever it is you lied about. Tell her that you have to make a confession, but you want her to listen to you. Tell her that you lied about whatever it is, and tell her the truth. Tell her why you chose to lie...if she is your best friend, she can probably relate. Tell her that you thought about it and you didn't want to have the lie between the two of you and you wanted her to hear it from you. Even if they are mad as hell at you, they will respect you for being honest and strong enough to come forward.

Good LuckI lied to my best friend? Need some Major advice?
The thing about best friends is that no matter what the two of you go through at the end of the day you are still best friends. The longer you wait to tell her the worse it will be. Just be upfront about it and tell her you are sorry and the two of you can get past this. With a true best friend you take the good the bad and everything in between.

Good LuckI lied to my best friend? Need some Major advice?
u should tell her the truth even though it will hurt her it will be the right thing to do
let me get over it ok?
Just state the truth !1
she has a right to be mad but eventuallyshe might discover that you were doing this for her but in the mean time you just have to constantly apologize trust me this happened to me she will accept ur appology soon!!!!
You told her the truth, did you apologize? A sincere apology can go a long way.

Sometimes, people find it really helpful to write a letter to someone. Try writing a letter to your best friend, in it say something along the lines of, I know what I did was wrong, I had no excuse for lying to you, I'm sorry. I understand you are mad, and you have every right to be. While I understand your anger, I hope that someday, you will find it in your heart to forgive me.

Then, after doing that, there's not much else you could do. I one time did something mean, and I sent a card to my friend, the front had a picture of the back of a little boy (on the left) walking a horse (on his right) The inside of the card said 'I'm sorry, I'm the one on the right'' (which, in the picture, is the horse's a$$) anyway. Along with the card, I bought a small potted flower for them, and they really appreciated it, even if they didn't forgive me right away. After you apologize, and do something nice, like buy a flower or something, it can only be expected that your friend will need some time to cool off and bring herself to forgive you, so back off for a bit and let her be, even though it may be hard.

But you did a really good thing by telling her the truth.

Good luck
Firstly, don't do anything stupid (anymore).

You need to figure somethings out. Why did you lie?

Why do you want to tell her now?

Will you lie again?

If she's a real friend, and you don't want to lose her, don't tell her now (wait at least 7 months), and don't ever lie to her again.

  • I need advice! boyfriends and guy best friend?

okay, so i have a boyfriend and i love him a lot. but he keeps getting jealous cause my best friend is a guy. like the other night my boyfriend wanted me to call him and i said i was on the on the phone with the other guy (my best friend) and then my boyfriend got mad and wouldn't talk to me.

there is absolutely nothing going on between me and the other guy. he's just a friend. i mean, we tell each other everything and talk on the phone and hang out a lot. he's going through some rough times though and has issues with chicks and drugs, so i'm obviiousy gonna be there for him. i just don't want my boyfriend to be hurt by it. i tried to talk to him about it, but he just said it didn't matter if it bothered him or not and that he didn't want to talk about it. please help!I need advice! boyfriends and guy best friend?
Yup, nothing much you can do. You could talk less to your best friend I guess, but it doesn't sound like you want to.

You only have a problem when either one demands you start talking less/spending less time with the other one.

If your boyfriend only gets mad on occasion I wouldn't worry about it. He's just one of those jealous types. Learn to live with it or break up with him if you can't handle it any longer and he doesn't want to work it out.I need advice! boyfriends and guy best friend?
im good friends with a girl and her bf hates me

dont talk to either, text then u dont have to tell either who ur talking to

Need CRUSH ADVICE PLZ 10 points best answer?

I'm a junior in high school and i like a girl in one of my classes. Over the last few months we have been talking more in class. I've gotten to know her better and i feel like we made a connection. i was gonna tell her how i feel about her, but i found out she was dating someone else. I found out one day when in the halls before first class i saw her holding hands with a guy, a i asked a friend of mine if they were dating and she said they were. My spirit just shattered at that moment.Shes a junior too and the guy shes dating is a senior. I really want to date her and get to know her better. I truely care about her. I know i shouldn't but into her relationship and i wont.

    Anyways:

Do you think they will break up because he is going to college next year, even though his college is close by?

Would it be a good idea to try to get closer to her and get to know her better?Need CRUSH ADVICE PLZ 10 points best answer?
Aw, I'm sorry to hear that :[. Just try thinking positive. I'm not saying all relationships don't work out to well, but most teenagers when there in a relationship it usually doesn't seem to last that long. But i think you should definitely still talk to her and try being close friends with her. And are you sure you're friend wasn't just guessing that they were going out? Because maybe you should try asking her?. But I think you should still be open.. like don't just have you're mind on her. See if there are any other girls you would be interested in and maybe try getting to know them better? Because you never know how long she is gonna be with this guy, and you don't want to waste you're whole life on her.Need CRUSH ADVICE PLZ 10 points best answer?
you should back off for a little while and if she has had a lot of dating experience this year you can almost count on them breakin up but just let it be for now get to know her while your not datin her what can it hurt
Don't be put off by the fact that she is dating someone else. If you really care for her then fight for her! Fight until there's nothing more that you can possibly do. If it still doesn't work out then sod it, it's not meant to be. But I say better to try and know for sure then give up and always regret it.

With that said, never compromise who you are. Don't change your personality to fit a shape that you think she would go for. If she doesn't like you for who you really are, then she's not the right person for you.

There's someone for everyone out there. Don't sell yourself short.

I need advice! *10 pts to best answer*?

I graduated from highschool a month ago. And everyone (except my parents) seem to be pressuring me into making the decision of what I want to do with the rest of my freakin life now. Honestly I have no idea what I want to do, and I'm taking a year off the gather my thoughts.

Every time I tell anyone, I get this ';loser'; look. Has anyone else gone through this and what did you do? How long did it take for you to figure out what you wanted to do? And what did you end up doing?

What I really want to do is be a mom. But I know that will come later in my life and until then I need to figure out something. Not really ready for kids now. lol

For the stay at home moms (if any) do you love or hate it?

serious answers please. sorry for being so random!I need advice! *10 pts to best answer*?

so your going to laze around for a year? if i were a one of your parents i would be like o.k. heres the deal. get into a college, if you want a comminity college i dont care, find out what you want to do and take a course or to. they dont offer stay at home moms course. or get out and get a full time job, and i dont care what you do but your not going to sponge off us anymore if your not going to college full time. you get a loser look because you have a loser idea.
stay at home mums are happy lots only if u have a financial security.... you Can choose it for ahead but you must have ready Some source of income ready so that u don't face a trouble in your married life i know u wont agree with it but none of the ladies facing marriage troubles wished for it... so think of something that interests you u Can contact a career counselor even n also if possible dont waste a year its a big time...
Really you shouldn't listen to anyone do what you think is right. Your family may not approve now but they will later on. i get that from my dad all the time. Just tell them your idea is good but i think i wonna do....()

And you should really get enough time to think about what you wonna do. your still young
DONT TAKE A YEAR OFF! It wil make it harder to get back whatever you plan to do.
I have 7 children ranging fro the ages of 8 months to 17 years. I have been both aworking mom and a stay at home mom. When I was working I missed the kids when I was at home they drove me nuts. Children grow so fast. I have a daughter your age going through the same dilema. My advice to her was to find herself first. If this included her education and career more power to her. I can only offer you afvice, in the end its going to be up to you my dear. But let me tell you this--being a mom is not easy at all, but it is very rewarding.
If you are going to take a year off, then I would suggest travelling. The only way to experience life is to see how other people are doing it. If you want to find out what you are going to go in the future (even if it is being a housewife), then make sure by going and seeing the world first. If you stay at home and do nothing for a year, how can that change your perception, or even give you any indication on where you want your life to go. Not everyone will decide when they finish school what they want from life, because sometimes the have yet to see something that gets their passion going.

    Good Luck
Do not take a year off, it only makes things worse. Pick a college and go. Just choose ANYTHING that sounds remotely interesting. You will be taking your basics first for the first two years anyway. You can change your major at any point if or when you find something else you would enjoy more. But trust me, taking a year off makes getting in the groove of school a lot harder, and it doesn't do anything for helping to find what you want to do. In fact for me, I am trying to find something to do with my life that DOESN'T involve college now.

So pick a college, choose a major that interests you even somewhat, and go, even if the college is far from home. You will enjoy it, you will make friends there, and you will still be visiting home at LEAST for a few months in the summer.

Experience college. Don't make the same mistake I did.
I am a stay at home mom and I love it,, sometimes it get boring......but,,,If ypu want to take a year off, I see nothing wrong with that, after all, you put in 12 long years......

I suggest after a year you should further your education,,,

you dont have to decide what career to go into yet...

I know a lady who waited until she was 30 to go to college and now she is very sucessful, I dont recomend that you wait that long and even if you decide to be a stay at home mom,its better that you are an educated stay at home mom.
You must be kidding. I don't suppose you know the value of a year. You have seen your seniors and how they went about choosing their careers. Almost all of them had pre-planned and made up their minds looking into the grades they got in different subjects much well in advance. They would have even discussed it in class, friends circles, parents etc etc. It's really astonishing that you have graduated from High School and still are unsure about your life.

Better late than never. Even now you have time to think over if and if only you act fast. Go about youyr strong points and your favourite subjects and browse the net for future guidance. Fix up an appointment with career guidance experts. Talk to your parents. All will be understanding and guide you properly. Don't take unnecessary rests while studying, its not only harmful but you will also find it very very difficult to put yourself back on track after such a long layoff.

    Good luck to you.

i know this could be hard for you,

    but..

if you really care about her then you want her to be happy.

and hey, if she is happy right now then your time will come soon enough.

yes, most relationships end when one person goes off to college, especially if the guy is the one to go off because they cheat more often.

and if it does last when he is in college, you know its very serious and you probably shouldnt mess with it.

yeah you should keep talking to her, its not like shes off limits to talk to..

just try and keep the flirting on the D.L.

    good luck!

Ok. Here's what you do. More than likely they are going to break up because he's going to college. Yes try and get closer to her. If she has a phone txt her more and ask her more personal questions. Try to get into her personal life, and txt her about every other night. 'Nights are better to txt'

But be careful. Make her want you, and don't get to obsessed with her or then she will be creapped out.
